![]() ![]() BUT I also weigh about 40lbs more than him, and had my sissybar and tombstone bag on the bike so that's gotta be near 100LBs+ more than him and I still beat him no question. although I do have a XTRE which is a small boost I suppose. When we got to our destination the first thing he said to me was "2nd gear is a week long eh?! i thought i had you for a second there but as we both went into 2nd you started to pull away and when I went into 3rd it was all over!"īoth our bikes have stock air/no fuel mgr and pipes are the only performance mods. I actually sold my Raider to one of my best friends, and he's only tried to race me one time and I left him at least 2 bikes behind me by the time I was getting into 3rd. I love the Raider it's a fantastic bike that I miss riding but if I had to chose between the two I would take the 9 no question. The 9 has WAY better brakes and smoother suspension as well. If you get bested by a Raider then they are better off the line or have more mod's than you do. Stock vs Stock (all other comparison is suspect) the 9 is absolutely the faster bike both off the line and all the way through the gears. the Raider is a polar opposite of the 9 just swap the HP/TQ #'s and you'll get the idea. Damn quad was quick.īoys I sold my Raider to switch to the 9. (L) Yamaha Raptor with R1 engine, We were side by side in 1st and 2nd, then he pulled. Damn thing left me like I was in a Yugo trying to race a Ferrari. Sounded loud as hell, no lope at idle, straight wrapped pipes, after his burnout at redlight, i couldnt see him when I left. (W) Custom Metric Bobber, no clue what it was. (n/a) Marauder 1600 (mean streak's twin) was riding with the M90, he lined up too, they were almost side by side with each other. Guy wanted to see how quick his bike was compared to its big brother, 1ft wheelie when he launched, but by 3rd, was 30 feet behind. They were riding with a pack of Ruckus people, from dig, I let off after 3rd, I was ahead. (W) Ninja 300 & CBR 250 at the same time.I lol'd, but still went. In all gears I was in front, He feathered the clutch too hard Intake, Exhaust, Power om a dig, then from a roll. (L) Yamaha V-Max, older 1st gen bike, Nicely kept up, intake, exhaust and some other stuff he said, I forgot details. (W) Yamaha Raider, all black everything, sounds extremely mean, ram air type intake, short curved exhaust, and a "tuning box", side by side thru 3rd, I pulled in 4th. By 4th was only about 15 feet in front of him. ![]() (W) Harley Sportster 48, Not a bad run, from dig he was pulling the front wheel 3 feet almost. Each time I was many bikes ahead by 4th gear, he said clutch is bad. (W) Harley Night Train, 3x raced from stop, 2x from 30mph roll. (W) Harley VRod Muscle, looked all stock, after race he turned off, from dig at red light, he launched 1st, and hard, by 3rd, I was ahead. (W) Harley Night Rod, Stage 4 Screamin Eagle, Rinehardt om dig, 30+ feet pulled him by 4th gear, from roll, left him. In no order (reading off of a notebook I use for ride info, ie, bumps, potholes to avoid, people i've met, or raced) I'm sure my buddy tried to talk some sense into him on the way home. Been five days and haven't heard from him. So I give him an open invitation for a beat down any time he's feeling froggy. I tell him he hasn't beaten this one and I'm sure that he can't. He then tells me how bad he has beaten every 9 he has come across. My friends neighbor starts circling the 9 speaking in tongues and then proceeds to tell me he has a Raider that's been 'jetted' piped and intakes that will mop the floor with me. We go around to the garage and the 9 is sitting right next to the B. So they look at the tractor and my friend wants to see the B. ![]() So my buddy brings a new neighbor with him cause he's looking for a tractor. I have a tractor for sale in my yard for another friend. My friend came over to the house to look at my F6B. ![]()
